About Colibrisur
Colibrisur was born from a simple belief: that art connects us more deeply than commerce ever could. We are Ada Quintero, a cultural promoter, and Alejandro Naranjo, an artist and educator from Medellín, Colombia.
For over two decades, our work has been rooted in community—from co-founding Colibrisur and La Libélula Artística in 2003, a project that used art as a refuge for children during difficult times, to teaching in Houston and later bringing those lessons home.
Through Colibrisur, we have managed collective exhibitions in Medellín, Bogotá, Switzerland, and Hong Kong, supporting the careers and visibility of Colombian artists on an international stage. These experiences have reinforced what we've learned: that the most powerful connection is a direct one. Between the artist and their public. Between the creator and the person who is moved by their work.
Colibrisur is that direct connection. It's a space without intermediaries, where Colombian artists can be seen on their own terms, and where art lovers anywhere in the world can discover them, authentically and without barriers. We believe in fair, transparent relationships that honor the artist's vision and bring you closer to the true soul of Colombian art.
The team: We are husband and wife, Ada Quintero and Alejandro Naranjo. This is a life dream-project, a jorney, a passion, a way of life and an endeavor till the end.
